Safe Transport and Survivors Support Uganda

Safe Transport and Survivors Support Uganda (STASSU) is a registered Non-Governmental Organisation dedicated to preventing road deaths and injuries and caring for people bereaved and injured in road crashes. It is also a member of international organizations working to improve post-crash response.

STASSU collaborates with relevant stakeholders to advocate for road crash victims’ rights, bridge the gaps between insurance providers, police, hospitals, judicial bodies, policymakers, and other victim support organizations, and carry out capacity building in transport and road safety-related activities.

At Safe Transport and Survivors Support Uganda (STASSU), we are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by the devastating consequences of traffic crashes. Our mission is to provide support, advocacy, and hope to survivors and their families as they navigate the challenging journey toward healing and recovery.

Our Vision

Our vision is a world where traffic crashes are minimized through improved safety measures, responsible driving, and a supportive network that empowers crash survivors to rebuild their lives. We envision a future where no one has to face the aftermath of a traffic crash alone, and where the road to recovery is marked by hope, resilience, and healing.

Our Mission

To protect the interests of road crash survivors and their families through the provision of psycho-social support, Road safety education, advocacy, legal Aid and vocational skills training.

Our Goal

To promote road safety education, Advocacy, reduce Road trauma, and enable victims become productive again in the society.
